Let’s Journal Our Way to Her- The You You Are Becoming
Hi my love,
Let’s take a moment for you. A moment to exhale, to soften your shoulders, whip off the bra and tie the hair up in a messy bun and come back to yourself, without the need for the 7 step skincare routine. Come back to yourself, not the tired version of you that’s been doing it all, but the future you who feels calm, grounded, confident, and wildly at peace with who she is.
Today, I want to invite you into some gentle journalling- not the..
“Dear Diary, today I ate pasta for lunch“
kind (although honestly, pasta and cheese, what an equiste choice), but the kind that brings you back home to you. The kind that helps you tap into the woman you’re becoming, the one who doesn’t shrink, doesn’t overthink every text, and doesn’t second-guess her own voice.
Let’s take 10 minutes, your favourite pen and notebook, and maybe a cup of something hot or.. a glass of wine. This is you time!
Future You Journalling Prompts
- Who is the version of me I’m becoming? Describe her. Is she soft-spoken or boldly radiant? What lights her up? What does her life feel like on a Tuesday morning? What excites her? What brings her the most peace?
- How does she walk, talk, dress, smell, make decisions, and hold boundaries?
- Is she the type to say no without apology? Does she trust her gut? Does she pause before reacting? What’s different about her presence?
- What energy does she carry and how can I bring more of it into my life today?
- Is it more peace? Power? Playfulness? What would the day look like to embody 1% more of her today?
Now that you’ve met her, ground that energy with some intentional self-love. Real confidence isn’t only about the soft stuff, the journalling, the affirmations, and manifesting under the full moon, it’s how you treat yourself in between the chaos.
Today’s Confidence Challenge
Do three small things that say, “I matter.” Here are a few simple and gentle ideas:
- Go for a walk without your phone and take a breath. Touch grass!
- Cook something you actually enjoy eating, not the struggle meal you muster up at the end of the month when you just bish-bash-bosh whatever is left in your fridge.
- Text a friend who feels like sunshine. (Thank goodness I have so many to choose from).
- Learn to say no without the paragraph for an explanation.
- Light a candle
Every time you honour yourself, even in the tiniest way, you reinforce the message: “I am worth taking care of.” That’s the energy confidence is built on.
You won’t always feel like your best self. Some days you’ll cry over your sock being wet because your son overfilled his bath and without realising you’ve stood right in the puddle on the floor, but the fact that you’re showing up, reflecting, questioning, trying that’s what makes you powerful.
That future version of you? She’s not waiting on a miracle. She’s waiting on you to take the small, daily steps that say,
“I’m ready to become her!”
With love,
You’ve got this!
