Embracing a New Month

Reflection, Intention and Possibility

A new month is like turning a page in your own story. Some chapters are dark and heavy, others are lighthearted, and some are full of change (something which I am terrible at). Whatever last month held for you, you’re allowed to begin again, gently and bravely.

The start of a month doesn’t mean reinventing yourself overnight. It means pausing, breathing, and choosing how you want to move forward. It’s about carrying the lessons you’ve learned while still leaving room for new beginnings.

Towards the end of last month, I felt myself reach a low, which I refused to bring with me into Q4. I had stopped making time for aloneness, and the constant interaction drained me. It made me a worse person for it, I was wallowing, just me, my bed, and a hot water bottle.

Think of this month as a container, a sacred stretch of time waiting to be filled with intention. Whether you want rest, adventure, discipline, or joy, you get to decide what matters most right now.

Soft Reflection

  • What moments from last month do I want to hold close and remember?
  • Where did I surprise myself with strength or growth?
  • What do I want to praise myself for (even if it’s something small)?

Motivational

  • What am I excited about this month?
  • If I could choose one word to describe this month what would it be and why?
  • What steps can I take this month to bring me closer to my vision?

Finding Peace

  • What do I want to try to invite more of into my days (structure, rest, peace, fun, connection)?
  • What do I need to let go of (self-doubt, what-ifs, relationships)?
  • At the end of this month, how do I want to look back and feel about how I spent my time?

Moving Forward

This month, don’t just drift. Act with direction and intention. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but you can take one step at a time, no matter how small the step.

Celebrate small wins, forgive the hard days, and keep moving. A new month is a fresh canvas, and you can paint it however you wish.

May this month meet you with exactly what you need.
